The British Council is pleased to announce a new funding opportunity under the Going Global Partnerships (GGP) programme — the Top-Up Grant.
This call invites existing GGP awardees to apply for an additional grant aimed at supporting, strengthening, and scaling up partnerships established through the Going Global Partnerships programme.
The Going Global Partnerships Top-up Grants aims to strengthen higher education systems and institutions by offering joint qualifications through innovation in teaching-learning, foster international partnerships between the UK and Indian Higher Education Institutions.
The objective of the grant:
- Internationalising Higher Education and TVET
- Strengthen Transnational Education (TNE) and Joint Teaching Programmes aligned with national and international frameworks.
- Build institutional awareness of global market drivers, policies, and best practices in internationalisation.
- Strengthening Systems and Institutions
- Enhance governance, leadership, and management within higher education institutions.
- Improve quality assurance, compliance, and evaluative frameworks to support institutional reform.
- Build faculty capacity in pedagogy, curriculum design, and assessment for improved academic quality.
- Enhancing Learner Outcomes
- Develop curricula and co-curricular programmes aligned with desired learning outcomes and industry needs.
- Integrate inclusive learning models to improve learner engagement, completion, and employability.
- Advancing Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion
- Promote gender equality and disability inclusion in higher education policy and practice.
- Increase participation and retention of women and persons with disabilities in research, leadership, and international mobility.
- Embed inclusive approaches across curricula, institutional culture, and physical and digital learning environments.
