About Creative Convergence

Rooted in the shared ambitions of the India–UK Vision 2035 and the Programme of Cultural Cooperation, Creative Convergence creates space for meaningful dialogue across sectors including media and entertainment, design, fashion, festivals, cultural policy, technology, and the arts.

At the heart of Creative Convergence is the British Council’s commitment to strengthening long-term people-to-people and institutional partnerships between India and the UK. The platform aims to support the growth of resilient and future-ready creative ecosystems by enabling international exchange, encouraging new collaborations, sharing research and insight, and opening pathways for innovation and market opportunities.

By convening diverse voices and perspectives, Creative Convergence seeks to position creativity as a catalyst for economic growth, social impact, and cultural leadership in both countries and beyond.

Creative Convergence has delivered through two major convenings in Bengaluru (5–6 November 2025) and New Delhi (29–30 January 2026), bringing together cultural leaders, creative entrepreneurs, policymakers, researchers, artists, and practitioners from India and the UK to explore the future of the creative economy.

The programme focused on strengthening international collaboration, fostering creative ecosystems, and encouraging dialogue around sustainability, innovation, policy, technology, fashion, film, music, and cultural infrastructure.

Bengaluru

The Bengaluru edition marked the first in-person Creative Convergence and positioned itself at the intersection of creativity, enterprise, and emerging technologies. The programme featured keynote discussions, policy conferences, workshops, innovation showcases, roundtables, networking sessions, and the Innovation Space — an interactive platform combining exhibitions, enterprise showcases, retail activations, and pitch sessions. Discussions explored creative cities, skills development, technology, sustainability, and future music ecosystems.

The Bengaluru convening included:

  • 35 speakers and panellists
  • 6 curators
  • 1 featured live performance — Neural Natak – A Techno-Magic Performance, combining generative AI, music, visuals, and storytelling.
  • An Innovation Space featuring a Pitch Fest with 10 creative enterprises, an Arts Bazaar, and Innovation Talks.

Delhi

The Delhi edition expanded the scope of the platform by deepening conversations around bilateral exchange, policy frameworks, sustainability, documentary film, research, and creative infrastructure. The programme combined plenaries, policy conferences, workshops, pop-up exhibitions, case studies, documentary exchange sessions, sustainable fashion discussions, and performances, with a stronger focus on institutional partnerships and market linkages between India and the UK.

The Delhi convening included:

  • 25 speakers
  • 7 curators
  • 4 workshop facilitators
  • 7 jury members for the documentary and exchange component
  • 1 featured performance — Modulated Movements, exploring movement, technology, and digital artistic expression.

The Delhi edition saw higher overall participation and wider audience reach compared to Bengaluru, alongside increased participation from students, creative practitioners, and cultural professionals.
