If you’re looking to advance your career in 2021 and become adept at communicating, attending this course with the British Council is a great place to start.

The art of telling a story is timeless. As a working professional, if you want to engage audiences, communicate your messages more effectively, inspire and influence others to take a desired action, the course on ‘Storytelling at the workplace: Communicating with impact’ contains the insights and skills you need.

This eight-part digital course will help you discover how to plan and structure a story and practice delivering it to a group. You will explore ways to approach storytelling strategically to communicate, influence, present and collaborate in your own authentic and engaging style to connect to an audience.

By the end of this comprehensive course, with a total of 12 hours of online lessons, you should have:

  • gained a wide range of practical skills and essential knowledge for effective storytelling at the workplace
  • understood how to pass on information or an idea in a more interesting manner
  • covered real-world examples of excellent stories through individual and group activities
  • familiarised yourself with the use narratives in a range of situations such as presentations, team meetings, sales pitches, and individual discussions
  • learnt how to frame information, change audience perceptions, and inspire them to act
  • undertaken assignments, practice sessions and demonstrated your ability to apply your learning of concepts and techniques in real workplace context.

Participants will receive a digital certificate on successful completion of the course.
