Make your child more familiar with a newspaper through fun-filled activities in our specially curated 2 days' online workshop. In this workshop, we will introduce them to using a newspaper in their everyday life which will give them another way of forming opinions.
Enrol today in our "Know the newspaper" themed 2-day online workshop where learners will learn the real world English that can be used in everyday situations. They will also participate in collaborative activities and hone their teamwork skills which will increase their understanding of how others view the world.
Designed by experts, this workshop is curated as per age and stage of each learner. The structure of this workshop will follow a communicative methodology, based on the idea that success in learning a language happens when one has opportunities to communicate and use it naturally.

6 to 8 years old will participate in a fun newspaper scavenger hunt to get more accustomed to the features of a newspaper. They will then do a role play where they will interview their partner, posing as a celebrity. At the end of the workshop, they will write a newspaper article using facts researched about the celebrity and the interview. |

8 to 10 years old will create a newspaper based on a topic of their choice. They will create the front page of a newspaper. They will write a main article with a headline and add extra newspaper features to complete their front page. They will write in third person point of view, cover the 5 W's (what/why/when/who/where), research and share information through this article. |

10 to 12+ years old will create a newspaper based on a topic of their choice. They will create the front page of a newspaper. 13 to 15 years old will each be assigned an explorer from the 15th century. They will work collaboratively to research and write several newspaper articles that will result in a front page of a newspaper, telling the news of their explorer's discoveries. Although there were no newspapers in the 15th century, it will be as if they are breaking the news to the townspeople about the new discoveries that have been made. |
