  • To explore which songs are most appropriate and experience a demonstration of a lesson based around a song 
  • To consider a variety of songs and suggest activities that could be used with them in the classroom 
  • To examine the different ways of using stories in the classroom 
  • To experience a range of storytelling activities and reflect on how well they would fit different teaching contexts

Managing Conflicts

Relationships can be challenging. Whether in the workplace, school, or home there will be times where there is relational conflict.  What many fails to realize is that conflict should not be feared, but should be viewed as an opportunity to strengthen relationships.  In this workshop, you will learn to view conflict through a different perspective, gain tools to assess where the conflict is actually coming from, and develop a strategy in dealing with conflict effectively.  Applying these principles will help you gain confidence and understanding in all of your relationships. 

By the end of this workshop, the learner will be able to:

  • identify some of our motivators in dealing with other people and what are some of the challenges?
  • identify the root causes of conflict and how to meet the needs of others.
  • to look at why we feel comfortable around some people and other people not so much.
  • to look at understanding the intensity of conflict, how to not make a mountain out of a mole hole, and how not to make a mole hole out of a mountain.
  • to look at the power of conflict resolution.
