Improve your written expression 12 Nov 2016, 10.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs 6 and 9 years 500 Join this session to improve your writing skills. In this workshop, young writers will build confidence, develop creativity and increase general thought process with a lot of fun. The activities that will be done during the workshop will allow the participants to focus on various aspects of writing such as tone, flow of ideas, appropriate usage of words, play of words and sentence construction. Come and join this interesting session and learn to write better.  
Make your own stories! 12 Nov 2016, 15.00 hrs to 17.00 hrs  10 and 14 years 500 Children have a vivid imagination which can take the form of a story, poetry or a painting. This workshop helps them understand the nuances of good narration and create a story with interesting characters. Their learning is put to test with each child creating a complete storybook.  So join this workshop and become authors!   
Making Friends with Dictionary 19 Nov 2016, 10.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs 8 and 11 years   500 Want to expand your vocabulary to speak and write well? Learn how to use the dictionary, find words and understand their meanings and be friends with your dictionary. The best way to expand your vocabulary is by using the dictionary effectively. Bring your pocket dictionaries and enjoy this interactive session.   
Mind Mapping 19 Nov 2016, 15.00 hrs to 17.00 hrs 9 and 12 years   500 Learn how to increase the power of your brain to remember things through association. The brain retains graphic information more easily than the written word. Use the mind mapping techniques to improve your memory and retention power. Enrol for this workshop and improve your brain power and excel in studies.  
Create Thumb Prints 26 Nov 2016, 10.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs  3 and 5 years  500 Can you do without your thumb? The most important function of the thumb and fingers can be seen when you write, hold or lift things. This workshop helps you realize its value by doing activities which involve squeezing, pinching, pulling and holding. Thumb printing will assist the children to create amazing patterns with their thumbs. The session will culminate in a role play of Thumbelina. Enjoy the fun activities at this workshop.  
Develop Creativity and Critical thinking 26 Nov 2016, 15.00 hrs to 17.00 hrs 12 and 15 years   500 Creativity and critical thinking are essential skills for decision making. Critical thinking is taught in schools where as creativity needs to be identified, nurtured and further developed. It focuses on exploring new ideas and generating possibilities. This workshop helps children to become innovative by combining, changing or reapplying existing ideas through case studies, games and theatrical presentation. Join this workshop and discover your creative self!  

Registration is on a first-come first-served basis and starts on 27th October 2016. All workshops are open to family and premium members of the British Council Library. Registration fee for workshop is not refundable or transferable.
