The British Council later today will be releasing a market research on ‘Skills Requirements among Young Professionals in India’. The research has identified that there is both a significant demand and robust market place for providing additional skills and qualifications to graduates, which comprises both domestic and international players. However, awareness of what is available varies significantly by sector and seniority. The biggest driver of demand for international qualifications, such as those offered by the UK, is driven primarily by the presence of international focussed businesses in India and from those seeking employment abroad, such as in GCC countries. For these companies and employees there is a significant opportunity for UK and Indian partners to work together and bring international recognised qualifications to India, help individuals stand out amongst peers and to potential employers and contribute the up-skilling of India’s global workforce.
