Study UK Create to Connect Competition

• Junior Group: School students aged 16–17 years 
• Senior Group: Undergraduate students aged 18 – 21 years 

All entries must be submitted by a teacher, counsellor, or faculty member (aged 18+) who agrees to the rules. Schools and colleges participate as institutions to maximize engagement and impact across educational communities.

Create a 1-minute video showing how India and the UK collaborate in education, research, or culture. Choose from these compelling sub-themes:

• Technology & digital learning: Modern education powered by e-learning tools
• Sustainability & climate action: Innovations in renewable energy and urban development
• Cultural exchange: Creative connections through food, fashion, cinema, and literature
• Sports & youth engagement: Building bridges through sport and teamwork

Examples of content that the students can create (Education, culture and research – the India-UK Story) :

• Imagine students from around the world on your campus. How would you mix cultures, share ideas, and make connections that matter?
• Spot an India-UK collaboration that excites you. If you could join it tomorrow, what creative idea would you bring?
• Imagine joining a UK campus festival – how would you share your Indian culture and team up with students from around the world?
• Explore a project, initiative or startup at a UK university environment, education, healthcare, or innovation. What role would you play?
• Work with students to design smart city solutions for traffic or pollution. How would your project benefit communities in both countries?
• Find a UK recipe, fashion trend, or campus activity online - then show how you would remix it with something from your Indian culture at your future UK campus
• Imagine your first week at a UK university - from your dorm room to the cafeteria - and show how you will blend your culture into campus life.
• If your UK student life was a Bollywood scene or theatre act - which one would it be?

• Video Requirements: Maximum 60 seconds, English language, filmed on any device
• Team Size: 1–4 students per team (one team per student; up to 2 teams per institution)
• Submission: Post to your school/institution’s official Instagram, Facebook, or X (formerly Twitter) account. Tag @inbritish on Instagram and Twitter, and British Council India on Facebook. Use the hashtag #StudyUKCreatetoConnect.
• Registration Form: Include a brief synopsis (50–100 words), participant details, and the social media post link.

• Top 3 Schools and 3 higher education institutions win an invitation to a 2-day creative workshop in Mumbai led by Whistling Woods International institute and UK experts.
• Winners receive certificates, a one-year British Council Digital Library membership, and will be featured on British Council platforms.
• All participants will receive e-certificates.
