Join our interactive sessions this August as we celebrate Youth Voices. This is a celebration of creativity, communication, and self-expression, designed to help children build their confidence to share their thoughts with the world. Through interactive sessions in storytelling, design, debating, and confident communication, participants will develop essential skills while exploring their imagination, critical thinking, and creative potential. Whether crafting a captivating story, designing a striking book cover, presenting ideas to an audience, or defending a viewpoint in a debate, every participant will have the opportunity to discover and strengthen their own voice.

Programme details:

  • Dates - Saturday 22 August and 29 August
  • Time - 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. for younger group and 1.30 p.m. to 3.30 p.m. for older group
  • Fee - Rs 300 for members and Rs 600 for non members

Story Lab – Crafting Compelling Narratives - Every great story has a strong foundation. In this interactive session, children explore the essential elements of storytelling, including character development, setting, conflict, plot, and resolution, while learning how to structure compelling narratives using simple story frameworks.

Participants Will:

  • Understand the core elements of storytelling
  • Create memorable characters and settings
  • Learn simple story structures and frameworks
  • Build confidence in creative writing and self-expression

Debate Lab – Logic, Reason & Persuasion - This session introduces children to the fundamentals of effective debating by combining logical reasoning with persuasive communication. They explore how to build clear, evidence-based arguments, evaluate different viewpoints, identify strengths and weaknesses in reasoning, and respond respectfully to opposing opinions.

Participants Will:

  • Develop critical thinking and reasoning skills.
  • Learn how to build strong, logical arguments.
  • Practice persuasive communication techniques.
  • Engage in structured and respectful discussions.

Creation Lab: Explore, Create, Imagine - In this session, children will explore what makes a great book cover and then put those ideas into practice. They will design their own cover, experiment with colours, typography, and illustrations, and create something that captures the essence of their story.

Participants Will:

  • Learn basic design principles.

Saturday 29 August

Presentation Lab – Speak to Inspire - Designed to build confident and compelling speakers, this session introduces participants to the key principles of impactful public speaking. Learners explore how to structure presentations, organize ideas logically, capture audience attention, and deliver messages with confidence using effective voice projection, eye contact, body language, and purposeful movement.

Participants Will:

  • Organise ideas into engaging presentations.
  • Build public speaking confidence.
  • Improve voice projection and delivery.
  • Develop effective use of eye contact and body language.
  • Learn techniques to connect with and inspire audiences.

10 to 14 years
