About Irawati Karnik:
Irawati is a writer, director and actor. Her plays include Sex, Morality and Censorship directed by Sunil Shanbag, Satellite City,(2011). Her Marathi plays include Aaltoon Paltoon, Teech Ti Diwali,Vadani Kavala Gheta, Mrugacha Paus, Varle Ahet and Chhapa kata which is running successfully across Maharashtra. She was awarded the Ustad Bismillah Khan Yuva Puruskar in 2009 by the Sangeet Natak Academy. She is also the recipient of the Vinod Doshi Fellowship, the Kathakar Shantaram Puruaskar awarded for her Marathi short stories and The Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad Award 2015 for her non-fiction writing about Marathi theatre.
Who can Attend:
The workshop is suitable for anyone who is 16 years and above and interested in playwriting.
How to Register:
There is no registration fee for the workshop. Registration is on a first come first served basis up to a maximum of 20 participants. Prior registration is necessary.
