Stories of Emotions and the Emotions of Stories is a fun, interactive storytelling experience for adults with Prof. Michael Wilson. Through creating and sharing stories, participants will explore how emotions shape our experiences, help us understand the world, and connect us to one another in meaningful ways. Michael Wilson is Professor of Drama and Director of the Storytelling Academy at Loughborough University in the UK. He also holds the first-ever UNESCO Chair in Storytelling Education for Sustainability. His interests lie broadly within the field of popular and vernacular performance and, in particular, on storytelling as a way of creating democratic spaces for public engagement around major societal challenges.
By the end of the session, participants will:
- Explore and express a wide range of emotions in a safe, creative storytelling space.
- Develop storytelling skills that communicate feelings, experiences, and ideas.
- Build empathy and connection by sharing stories and listening to others’ perspectives.
