Do you love reading and want to inspire others? As part of the UK National Year of Reading 2026 - Go All In, a celebration of the power of reading to transform lives and communities, the British Council Libraries invite young members aged 14–28 to apply for the Reading Ambassador Programme 2026.
What will you do?
- Lead reading activities.
- Promote reading in your community.
- Represent the British Council as a Reading Ambassador.
Who can apply?
- Library members aged 14–28 years (members aged 14 to 17 are supposed to get consent of Parent/Guardian)
- Students from schools, colleges, and universities
- Individuals passionate about reading and community engagement

Rewards:
- Ambassador of the year: Free one-year library extension.
- All ambassadors: Quarterly library membership extension.
