Welcome to the Magical Drawing Competition: A Tribute to Harry Potter!

Have you ever looked at a book on magic and imagined the book cover to be different? Well, here is your chance. We invite all children to participate in our enchanting drawing competition, to celebrate the extraordinary universe of Harry Potter by designing their own book cover. 

Unleash your imagination and let your artistic wand create wonders inspired by the captivating world of Harry Potter. We encourage you to explore the depths of your creativity and bring imagination to paper through your artwork.

Competition Guidelines

  • Children must visit the library on 1 July between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM for the drawing competition. 
  • There will be only one winner per centre. 
  • Participants must be at least 9 years and older to enter the competition.
  • All materials will be provided by the library
  • Entries must be original creations and should not infringe upon any copyrights or intellectual property rights.
  • Each participant can submit only one artwork 
  • Please include a brief description or title for your artwork, along with your name and contact information (parents phone number and membership number) at the back of the book cover. 
  • This competition is exclusively for members. 

How to Enter

Our esteemed panel of judges will evaluate the submissions based on creativity, technical skill, and adherence to the theme. The winners will be rewarded with the following enchanting prizes:

  • The winning entries will be featured in our newsletter and ‘members corner’ on our website for the month of July
  • A special gift will be awarded to the winner from each centre. 
  • A special token of appreciation will be given to all participants. 

Date and time: registered participants can visit their respective British Council libraries (Delhi, Chennai or Kolkata) on Saturday 1 July anytime between 10.00 am to 5.00 pm. Participants will spend one hour creating their book cover and hand it over to library staff once they have completed it. 

Note: By participating in the competition, you grant permission for your artwork to be displayed on our website or social media platforms, with proper credits given to the artist.
