The British Council, in partnership with the Alkazi Foundation, invites you to Erasure to Exposure: Rethinking Photography at the Victoria and Albert Museum, a special lecture by Duncan Forbes, Head of Photography at the Victoria and Albert Museum (V&A), London. This event serves as a prologue to the international symposium, Image Worlds: Hybridity, marking the bicentenary of photography.

Home to more than 900,000 photographs and spanning over 150 years of photographic history, the V&A's photography collection is one of the world's most significant. In his first public presentation in India, Duncan Forbes will reflect on the museum's recent exhibitions, commissions and curatorial initiatives, exploring how they are reshaping the collection, informing new institutional approaches and expanding conversations around photography's global histories and futures.

The lecture will be followed by a conversation with Rahaab Allana, Curator at the Alkazi Foundation for the Arts, and an audience Q and A session.
