Distortion is an exhibition featuring intermedia works by artists Sukanya Ghosh and Nandan Ghiya, presented at the British Council Gallery Space from 15 January to 13 February 2026 as part of the Parallel Programme of the India Art Fair.

Both artists have recently exhibited in the United Kingdom—Sukanya Ghosh at the Royal College of Art (2024) and Nandan Ghiya at the Liverpool Biennial (2025). Their practices engage with personal and found archives, examining the idea of the “fragment” as an independent and recurring form, while reflecting on the uncertain journeys and afterlives of images. The exhibition is curated by Rahaab Allana, with scenography by Suryan Saurabh.

Positioned within the British Council’s ongoing commitment to strengthening India–UK cultural relations, Distortion highlights meaningful artistic exchange and shared creative inquiry between the two countries. Sukanya Ghosh was the first Indian artist-in-residence at the Royal College of Art, and both Sukanya Ghosh and curator Rahaab Allana are alumni of the Charles Wallace India Trust.

The exhibition invites Delhi’s contemporary art audiences to engage with new perspectives in intermedia practice
