The British Council invites you to an engaging book discussion with acclaimed mystery author Manjiri Prabhu, as she presents her latest work – The Grand Oxford Mystery.
Join us for an evening of literary intrigue as Manjiri Prabhu, often referred to as India’s Agatha Christie, takes us through the twists and turns of her new novel. Known for her evocative settings and gripping plots, Prabhu’s latest mystery promises to be a thrilling ride set against the atmospheric backdrop of Oxford.
The book will be formally launched by Janaka Pushpanathan, Director South India, British Council.
About the Author
Manjiri Prabhu is a novelist, filmmaker, and screenwriter who has authored several critically acclaimed mystery novels. Her works blend suspense with emotion and have gained her international recognition. She has been a speaker at global literary festivals and is a pioneer in the Indian mystery genre.
About the Moderator
Mythily Ramachandran is an independent journalist from Chennai with 30+ years of work experience in top Indian (The Hindu, Indian Express, Femina) and international publications (Gulf News, SCMP, Nikkei Asia). Her Gulf News column Southern Spice (2012–2020) featured celebrity interviews and film reviews.
