The British Council invites you to an engaging book discussion with Dr. T Sumathy (a) Thamizhachi Thangapandian, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha) - South Chennai Constituency, as she presents her latest work – Beatrice Webb: Portrait of a Reformist.
This insightful session will explore the life and legacy of Beatrice Webb, a pioneering social reformer, economist, and co-founder of the London School of Economics. It will delve into Webb’s contributions to social policy, her impact on the Labour movement, and her continued relevance in contemporary socio-economic discourse.
The discussion will be moderated by Jaiveer Johal, an entrepreneur and art patron.
