Ashish Dhaka is an academician, entrepreneur, researcher and fashion designer whose practice bridges India’s living craft traditions with contemporary approaches to sustainability and design innovation. As Country Head of Fashion Revolution India, he explores how cultural knowledge can inform responsible futures for fashion and textiles.

His research focuses on transforming post-consumer and post-production textile waste into modular systems through techniques such as ply-split braiding, reimagining waste as a resource. A multiple-time representative of India at the World of WearableArt (WOW), New Zealand, Ashish received the WOW Natural Section Award and the International Design Award for Asia in 2024. His work has been showcased internationally at platforms including Mercedes-Benz Berlin Fashion Week, London Design Week, and WOW, reflecting his commitment to material experimentation, circularity, and cultural storytelling.
