On 7 February 2026, the British Council in India successfully convened the Alumni UK Symposium. This flagship initiative was designed to facilitate engagement, celebrate the achievements of UK university graduates, and provide a high-level platform for professional networking. Hosted at British Council, Delhi, the symposium focused on the central theme: "Vision 2035: Alumni as Architects of the Future." The event reached an attendance of approximately 175 alumni, representing a diverse and interdisciplinary cohort. The varied backgrounds of the attendees fostered a rich environment for cross-sectoral dialogue, significantly enhancing the analytical depth of the sessions.
The symposium was formally inaugurated by Alison Barrett MBE, Director, British Council, India. Her opening remarks established the strategic framework for the day.
