UK alumni are among the most employable graduates in the world. Thirty-eight per cent of Noble laureates who studied abroad did so in the UK. In India we have thousands of alumni who have returned to contribute in various ways to their communities through professional or social opportunities. These alumni have formed chapters across the country through which they collectively create larger impact through various interventions and engagements. These may include professional and networking support for alumni, especially fresh-returned graduates, or supporting disadvantage communities with monetary or socio-economic/ educational opportunities, building and strengthening the UK’s brand in India, or creating learning and development opportunities for alumni and their communities.

In recognising the fantastic work being done by these chapters, the British Council is delighted to announce the Alumni Association Honours. We invite alumni associations across various city chapters, and UK universities and colleges to participate in this programme where you will present the work you have done in the last year in a requested submission format and win awards across categories to showcase best practice to your peers across alumni associations nationally. The Association honours will be presented at the annual Study UK Alumni Awards event where the winning chapters will be honoured and get a chance to present their successes and learning to other associations present.

Alumni UK is the new global network for people from around the world who have studied in the UK as an overseas student. By joining our global Alumni programme, you can grow your worldwide professional network, continue learning and share your experience and expertise with others.
