In addition to our skills programme, we work together with other organisations and institutions to design and implement projects focusing on the improvement of English in the context of a wider focus on skills for employability.
Research that was commissioned by us and conducted by The Open University demonstrated that English can play a significant role in improving young people's employment prospects in India and across South Asia. Marginalised groups, however, are at a disadvantage as they do not have equal access to quality English language teaching.
Our skills focused projects aim to provide increased opportunities for youth to develop their English language proficiency and the confidence, knowledge and skills needed to successfully gain employment.
We work with our partners to develop high quality, contextualised materials and resources to directly train teachers and volunteers in learner centred methodology. We work together to organise events including job fairs to further support our target group in achieving their goals.
