Alison Barrett

Alison Barrett is Director English for Education Systems, British Council South Asia. She has initiated and managed numerous financial and strategic bilateral English language development partnerships with 12 state governments across India, publishers and donor organisations which have impacted on over 836,000 teachers and 28m students.

Amol Padwad

Amol Padwad

Amol Padwad is currently Head of the Department of English, J.M. Patel College, Bhandara and has taught for 30 years at different levels. He is the National Convener of IATEFL-associated All India Network of English Teachers (AINET), an academic counsellor for EFLU, Hyderabad, and a teacher trainer and ELT consultant. He has several articles, reviews and translations and projects to his credit.

Elka Todeva is a professor at SIT Graduate Institute, World Learning. She is a language educator with a doctorate in applied linguistics. She trains teachers internationally and advocates expedited learning through socially embedded, plurilingual, brain-friendly explorations.

James Richard Keddie, a teacher, writer and storyteller - James is the founder of Lessonstream.org and the winner of a British Council ELTons award. His publications include Images (OUP, 2009) and Bringing Online Video into the Classroom (OUP, 2014). He is also the author of Videotelling, a self-published ebook.

Katherine Bilsborough has been working in ELT since 1986 as a teacher, trainer and materials writer. She lives in northern Spain where she divides her time between ELT and gardening. Katherine co-curates the Free & Fair ELT page on Facebook and writes a monthly blog for the British Council’s TeachingEnglish website.

Mike Scholey is a freelance ELT consultant and former senior lecturer in ELT at University College Plymouth St Mark & St John (Marjon), where he taught on the MEd ELT/ESP and Trainer Development courses and developed a new MEd CLIL. His publications include a commissioned work on Business English; Highway: A Moroccan ELT Programme (video and accompanying workbook) for the British Council; and several journal articles.

Paul Gunashekar has been teaching English, training teachers of English, and developing instructional materials for English language teaching for over thirty-nine years. He is Dean of the School of English Language Education at the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad.
