About the Talk 

Dr Alastair Massie, who is the Head Research and Access at National Army Museum, UK, will speak about the Refugee camps of 1947 at the Partition Museum lecture series Conference being organised at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi on 20 May, 2016 at 6:30 pm. Dr Massie received his doctorate from Oxford University and has worked at the National Army Museum for the past 25 years.

About Dr Massie

He was Head of the Department of Archives at the National Army Museum and is the author of a number of books based on documents held within the Museum’s collections, principally relating to the Crimean War. An associate editor of the Oxford Dictionary of National Biography’(2004), Alastair Massie has lectured widely, and given many talks on the subject of the army of British India.
