This year marks 200 years since Jane Austen died

To celebrate her life and work, we spoke to Laleen Sukhera, founder of the Jane Austen Society of Pakistan and editor of the forthcoming anthology, Austenistan.

 Austenistan is an anthology of short stories inspired by Jane Austen’s writing and set in Pakistan. Jane Austen's work resonates strongly in South Asia and these stories look at everything from love to marriage to social hierarchy.
