The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling is a favourite with all of us. Set in a jungle in India this book has characters we all know and love. In this workshop we will enjoy the book by having fun with the characters and creating our own little jungle. How? Let’s find out.

A Nobel Laureate at the age of 42, Rudyard Kipling, an Englishman, was the first English language writer to receive the prize. His books for children are classics and ‘The Jungle Book’ is a favourite with both young and old. Born in 1865 in Bombay, Kipling had a very close association with India and through this workshop we will discover more about the genius of his writing.

Roald Dahl wrote many excellent children’s books and his brilliant and hugely popular stories of magic, adventure and friendship is a joy for children to read and a delight for parents to read from. The stories are always engaging, providing a multitude of memorable moments and littered with excellent examples of Dahl's use of creative imagination. Would you like to have a memorable moment too?

The quest for adventure and the thrill that precedes and ensues draws many a child to the world of stories. The world of fiction presents a perfect escape into a fantasy world. Have you been adventurous enough to pick a new book by a new author or do you stick to the bestsellers? Let the spirit of adventure spill out into exploring and trying a new book on the block (shelf). This workshop leads the child into exploring for adventure in a not-so-often-read book.

This workshop is the perfect way to introduce your child to a world where fun and learning come together. This session would involve introduction to STEM(science, technology ,engineering and math) concept and constructing a robot, programming it to give it life and finally a challenge to enhance your child’s learning.

Our programme instil much needed hands on engineering concepts at a young age. The projects are designed to enhance the child’s concentration, dexterity, spatial, problem solving and critical thinking skills.

Fee details

The fee includes:

  • A dedicated event manager in attendance throughout

  • Non-refundable fee is payable in full, prior to the commencement of session. Payments can be made either by cash or card.
  • If obliged to cancel an event, the British Council reserves the right to do so without further liability, subject to the return of any fee already paid.
  • The schedule of the workshops is subject to change or cancellation.
