About the workshop

Ever wondered how people express so much in such few words. How about practising this? The social media is full of saying things in brief, but at the same time are hard-hitting, through this workshop develop a distinct style of saying it all with fewer words. In today’s world, it is the trend of using the briefest of words, sentences and characters to express a world of meaning.


  • Introduction to social media
  • What’s trending in news, society currently?
  • Explore old style of written expression
  • How can we transform it to suit our current needs? 

Time: 10:00am to 12:00pm 

Age group: 13 years & above

Registration fees: INR 700 per participant

How to Register?

  • Registration is on a first-come first-served basis. The workshop is open to all the members and non-members of the British Council Library. 
  • Payments must be made two days prior to the workshop.
  • You can either visit the British Council office to make payments by cash or credit/debit card or write to Mark Gomes to schedule a cheque pickup
  • Registration fee paid is non-refundable but change in nomination is accepted.
