Vocabulary wealth: Which is tough- The bough or the dough?

Saturday, 13 August 2016 - 2:00pm Mumbai

About the workshop

English as a language has evolved a lot; from the Germanic origins to the 'Modern English' in Shakespearean days to Today. In it's present 'Avatar' English has words from many other languages leading to similar sounding pronunciations of differently spelt words and vice-versa. Does the workshop title ring a bell? You've read many words and know their meaning too, but are reluctant to put them in your sentences, just because you are uncertain about how to say them loud. Does 'ratio' rhyme with 'patio'? what about 'epitome'; is it the same as 'tome'? Add to the list 'chores' & 'chameleon'. In this engaging, activity-based workshop come and decode words that are confounding; learn to use appropriate words, in spoken English, confidently and correctly. Come, Find-out, Feel 'Enabled'.
