About Eddie Nixon
Eddie Nixon is the Director of Theatre/Artist Development at The Place, UK. The Place is one of the UK’s most respected contemporary dance venues. It is an innovative dance space, where artists from all over the world come to push creative boundaries, to experiment and to perform outstanding new work. It is well-known for the work that it does to support experimental work as well as develop artists.
Eddie Nixon studied to be a chemist before obtaining a BA (Hons) and MA at London Contemporary Dance School. He worked for 12 years as a freelance dancer for a wide range of companies and choreographers including New Adventures, The Featherstonehaughs, Protein Dance, DV8 Physical Theatre; Adventures In Motion Pictures, Rosemary Lee.
He has also worked as a choreographer, taught and worked as a project manager for the Cholmondeleys, Dance UK and at Oxford Inspires.
