Summer world travel: Workshops for children

Saturday, 14 May 2016 - 4:00pm to Sunday, 15 May 2016 - 5:30pm

This summer we are ready to open a box of interactive stories for young minds. Our global young citizens will explore one world with different cultures to learn new things of each culture. Every culture creates its own stories: to entertain young children, to teach them, and to attempt to explain the world. Through interactive storytelling, this workshop will give young children a glimpse of different cultures, allowing them to taste a little of the world! Children will also learn the seasons across the globe.

This progressive set of workshops is designed to provide ample information for the young minds. They would also get an opportunity to enact and express which is believed to help record the information besides having fun.

Day 1 - Date & Time: 14 May, 16:00 - 17:30

It’s summertime, the best time to explore stories about summer and sunshine! Let’s travel to countries, north and south, look at their costumes, and then imagine their stories. Five different stories from different parts of the world will be told. Children will enact the story with the storyteller, bringing alive the customs and traditions of each country we visit.

Day 2 - Date & Time: 15 May, 16:00 - 17.30

What comes after the summer? The rains in some parts of the world; autumn in others! We will recall the stories of summertime and then look at how seasons change. We will then explore a few stories that talk about other seasons as well. Children will also colour pictures to conclude their journey around the world!

These workshops are facilitated by experienced trainers.
