Summer Theatre Workshop Module

This workshop is a space to play, explore and have fun with our quirky, fun and over the top ideas! Vikram Seth's 'Beastly Tales' is also a playful and quirky take on the well-known collection of ten fables in poetry, ranging from India, Greece, China, Ukraine to the Land of Gup.  Apparently, he wrote them while he was on a summer break too!

In this workshop, children will read, understand and perform some of these tales and through that explore aspects like story, character and plot inherent in these tales.

Highlights:

  • Enhance coordination and group learning using tools like movement and improvisation.
  • Understanding the basic elements of a good story that help in creative thinking.
  • A short performance at the end of the workshop using tools of theatre making like costumes, objects, props that will give them confidence and eliminate stage fear.
  • Enhance communication skills using voice and modulation techniques.
