As part of the SAPTAN Stories project, British Council and Aardman Animations UK invite children from 11 to 16 years for a session on Collaborative Storytelling and Art Creation.
This is an activity based session which uses the idea of collaborative storytelling and art creation to inspire young minds. This is not meant as an in-depth story structure lessons, but a way to introduce children to story writing in a fun, collaborative way. It’s a way for children to get their ideas down quickly, and share the creation process with their peers. These lesson activities develop the students’ writing, drawing and collaboration skills in group creation.
Through this session we aim to focus on developing core skills of creativity and imagination, communication and collaboration, critical thinking and problem solving. The collaborative approach of SAPTAN Stories project not only adds a fun twist to the creativity, it helps children to interact and bond. As they get to work with a team they also learn to build team spirit and develop interpersonal skills.
