British Council Kolkata in association with The Reading Agency, UK and the Arts Council England presents Animal Agents – Reading Challenge 2017 for children from classes 1 to 8. From solving the case of the graffiti writing to the strange case of a missing lunch, children will join in the fun with the Animal Agents by reading along. To get them started, all your child has to do is to sign up at the British Council Kolkata library. There, they will be given a collector folder to keep a record of their Reading Challenge journey.

On the Reading Challenge, children are encouraged to read six or more library books of their choice in six weeks with collectable incentives and rewards, plus a certificate, or medal for every child who completes the Challenge. As children read library books, they will receive a host of stickers, some with mysterious smells. By collecting these clues in their detective folder, young readers will help the Animal Agents find out what’s really going on behind the scenes! Children also participate in creative activities and workshops during the six weeks to successfully complete the challenge.

Registrations for the challenge will commence on Friday 27 October and close on Tuesday 5 December 2017. The first 50 registrations will receive an exclusive ‘Animal Agents Booklet of Top Secret Activities’. So hurry! Please refer to the enclosed document for more details and registration procedures.
