This one-day workshop for teachers, teacher educators and head teachers will focus on:
- discussing the opportunities and challenges for teaching and learning in multilingual classrooms
- providing practical ideas and resources
- explaining the main findings of the MultiLila research project conducted in Hyderabad, Delhi and Patna
- providing an opportunity for participants to give feedback to policy makers about their needs related to this important area of education
Join us on either Monday 10 February 2020 or Tuesday 11 February 2020 at the English and Foreign Languages University, Hyderabad.
The event will start promptly at 9.30 and end at 17.30. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

The MultiLila research project is led by the University of Cambridge in collaboration with the University of Reading, the English and Foreign Languages University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, and NIMHANS Bangalore. It is an ESRC-DFID funded four-year project running from May 2016 to April 2020, which aims to explore the development of multilingual children’s school skills and cognitive abilities in English medium instruction (EMI) versus regional medium of instruction schools across three research sites – Delhi, Hyderabad and Patna.
