The British Council International School Award (ISA) accreditation scheme specifically recognises the contribution of schools in adding international dimension to education.
ISA provides a practical tool for schools to design, develop and implement international activities effectively. It also provides an opportunity to the Indian schools to develop links with schools overseas and work towards enhancing the international dimension in the curriculum. The school has to participate in a year-long process that involves planning and execution of curriculum based international dimension activities. The British Council will provide help and support to the schools during their journey.
Who should attend?
Ideally the school principal and nominated ISA coordinator or two ISA coordinators. We would recommend that the ISA coordinator is very carefully selected by you as:
- He / She is going to be the point of contact between your school and the British Council team as well as between the school teachers and you.
- ISA coordinator needs to be diligent and have good English reading / writing skills as well as digital skills.
- ISA coordinator should have good team member skills so that other teachers are happy to provide him whatever he/she needs
The one-time non-refundable registration fees for Full ISA is INR 35,000. If you are applying through a British Council School Ambassador or applying for reaccreditation then the registration fees is INR 30,000 (a discount of INR 5,000).
