Join us in the panel discussion "Is our education system preparing children for the future?"

Synopsis: For the last 70 years, the British Council has worked extensively in the field of education, including in teacher development, English language proficiency, school leadership, Higher Education, skills and the arts. Through our ongoing work in these areas, the British Council is continuously striving to support our Indian education partners in new ways. Under the insight and innovation strand of its work, we plan to hold a panel discussion that will take a holistic view of the current state of the education system and identify ways to make it more future ready. This will focus on the future readiness of our education system and will give an opportunity to officials, head teachers, teachers, parents and other interested parties to discuss some of the big education challenges of our time. Confirmed panelists are Prof (Dr) Nitin Karmalkar, Vice Chancellor Savitribai Phule Pune University, Mr Madhukar Banuri, Founder and CEO – Leadership for Equity, Mrs Malati Kalmadi -  Educationist and Secretary of Kannada Sangha Pune, Ms Vandana Saxena OBE , Advisor India at INSTITUTE OF CHARTERED ACCOUNTANTS IN ENGLAND AND WALES and  Mr Ashwath Bharath- Lead, Firki.co (Teach for India)
