British Council and BBC bring to you special films on society and life to make a great start to your weekend. Visit us this Friday to watch the below 20 minute virtual reality films.
- Hand in Hand: Using virtual reality technology, 'Hand in Hand' tells a story of faith and friendship at Kumbh. BBC looks at the issue of urban migration and loneliness among India’s elderly living in villages.
- Goodbye Father: The film is about a farmer who took his own life last year. The movie has been narrated through his daughter’s letter to him.
- Crossing the Sky: This special movie talks about how two sisters cross all the barriers to attend school daily.

Interactive talk on Immersive Storytelling: Participate in the interactive talk session on time-travelling experience, using game engines to tell the story of India’s feminist movement since 1947. The experience focuses on important milestones such as the Chipko Movement, the Nirbhaya rape case and dowry laws. The talk will be delivered by BBC’s Digital Editor Vikas Pandey who has produced award-winning Virtual Reality films and used mixed reality format to illustrate the human stories.
Participants who attend the interactive talk will receive 'certificate of participation'.
