About the Event: The British Council in Ahmedabad has launched a library tour for school children and teachers to explore the amazing world of books, magazines, online resources, films and English language workshops. These visits, held every Wednesday, are by invitation only and usually last for an hour and a half. If you want to sign up your school for such a tour, do contact us.

About the Event:

To celebrate World Youth Skills Day, we are hosting a talk by Rahul Bhagchandani to help the youth brush up their skills for the brilliant and complex world of entrepreneurship. Rahul will focus on the significance of start-ups and Entrepreneurship for the youth of today. 

About the Speaker:

Rahul Bhagchandani is an entrepreneur and a start-up ecosystem enabler who, at the age of 17, founded Youth Connect - India's first youth media house. Rahul is the CEO of Gujarat University Start-up and Entrepreneurship Council, and has over 14 years of experience in entrepreneurship development, public policy, media, and Internet. He played a pivotal role in convincing the state Government of Gujarat to introduce the Student Start-up & Innovation Policy (SSIP) of Gujarat, which provisions Rs. 200 crore funds for enabling and supporting young people, student innovators and enablers. He works closely with the Education Minister and the Education Department of Gujarat, and consults and advises other state governments on student start-ups and innovations. He also chairs the Youth Connect Foundation, and is a mentor/advisor to several start-ups, universities and institutes.

About the Event: A session to help new members and potential members navigate and enjoy the online resources available to British Council library members. A first look at our e-resources like Zinio, Instantflix, Ebrary, Academic One file, Comics Plus, Atomatic Training, JSTOR, PressReader, Oneclick digital and many more, would provide hands-on guidance on how to access these resources online. The aim of this session is to support members make the most of our e-resources and e-services.

About the Event: Through a virtual trip around the world, children will learn about different cultures, develop language skills and build confidence through a lesson about one city each day. The workshop is titled 'Explorers', and is perfect for 8-10 year old kids who love exploring new things.
