Simply Science Series: The Many Facets of Oxygen in Life

British Council presents Science Talks in association with IISER Pune. The first talk of the series is on The Many Facets of Oxygen in Life. With the story of discovery of oxygen as a background, various roles of oxygen in life will be discussed by speaker – Dr. Harinath Chakrapani, Associate Professor - Chemistry at IISER Pune.

 Storytelling workshop using Rory's Story Cubes by Nandita Paul

Rory's Story Cubes is a pocket-sized creative story generator and a problem solving tool that provides hours of imaginative play for all ages. This  session will help children understand how to use the cubes. creating stories in different groups using the 3 sets- symbols, actions, voyages,writing them out and reading out the stories with role play. 

The event is for children between 7-14 years of age.

Read with us: Practising with Picture Stories 

This Workshop is  for children on developing reading skills. Picture story books are one of the best tools to train children in using effective reading strategies. In addition, it also gives parents practical tips on how they can help their children read in everyday situations, whether it’s at the table or in a car on the way to their next art class!

The event is for children under 10 years of age.

Media Magic Workshop by British Council trained CELTA trainer   

Bring out the journalist in your child as they learn the workings of all communication channels- from newspapers and magazines, to TV and social media. The 10 hours session helps  the child to develop specific skills(reading, writing, listening and speaking) and aspects of language( vocabulary and pronunciation) in a fun, secure and learner centric environment.  

The event is for children between 11-12 years of age.
