British Council, invites you to celebrate the birth anniversary of Charles Dickens

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of one of the most celebrated writers, British Council invites our young learners for a book reading session to introduce them to his best loved novel, Oliver Twist. This interactive session with activities and theatrical readings specially designed for children will present the story of classic literature’s best known orphan. This session will be followed by screening of the same Charles Dickens’ classic tale! Parents and families are welcome for the film screening.

The book reading session will be facilitated by Ms Sheila Govindaraj, a Bangalore-based theatre actor and director. Her body of work in theatre and theatre training includes Shakespeare and several contemporary playwrights. She has been conducting regular workshops for children at the British Council, Bangalore.
