The British Council has decided to suspend the direct teaching of English at our Hyderabad centre from the end of April 2014 to enable us to concentrate our resources on programmes that reach many more learners across the state and South India, via digital channels, libraries, and corporate training.
Learners of English everywhere can benefit from our growing range of self-access courses that now includes: Jobseekers, English for employability, English Club, EnglishStrokes, English on Mobile.
Our Library, examinations, teacher training programmes, corporate training, and all other programmes remain unaffected, and will continue to expand.
The British Council is not reducing presence in the state.
